10 Days of Connection: Community Yoga Gathering

Join Yoga 4 Change and friends for a powerful community gathering as part of 10 Days of Connection, a South Florida–wide movement dedicated to fostering understanding, empathy, and meaningful connection across communities.

On May 2, 2026, we invite you to the beautiful Miami Beach Botanical Garden for a shared experience rooted in movement, mindfulness, and community.

This event is designed to be accessible to all meaning no prior yoga experience is needed. Whether you are new to yoga or have an established practice, this gathering is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and be in community with others.

Through trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, and a sound healing experience, participants will be guided through practices that support nervous system regulation, reduce stress, and create space for connection - both within and with those around you.

At its core, this gathering is about more than yoga.

It is about coming together as a community...to move, breathe, and support one another in a shared space of presence and care. In a world that often feels fast-paced and disconnected, this event offers a moment to pause and remember the power of collective wellbeing.

No matter your experience level, this event is an invitation to meet yourself where you are and to connect with others, one breath and one posture at a time.

What to expect:

-Intention setting to set the tone for your experience

-A guided, all-levels trauma-informed yoga practice

-Gentle breath and mindfulness techniques

-Sound bowls to support relaxation and integration at the end of the session

-A welcoming, inclusive environment centered on choice and accessibility

-Connection swag bags for the first 50 attendees

-More surprises!

Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, water, and anything else that will help them feel comfortable. Modifications and options will be offered throughout the practice to ensure accessibility for all bodies and experience levels. This event is free and open to the community, with the intention of making wellness practices accessible to all.

Free to attend.

Morning at the Garden with Jordan's Garden

This is not a traditional one-hour class, instead, we’re creating an open garden experience where children can move through a few simple, hands-on activities at their own pace. Think of it as a window into what we do at Jordan’s Garden.

We’ll be featuring a potato-inspired activity (a favorite from our lessons), along with other small stations designed to spark curiosity, play, and connection with nature.

It’s a chance to slow down, get your hands in the soil, and experience how learning can feel when it’s rooted in nature.

Price: $15

POSTPONED: Nature. In Community

POSTPONED

Did you know that spending intentional time in nature alongside your community is scientifically proven to lower stress and improve well-being?

Set within the restorative beauty of our local botanical garden,  Nature. In Community is a participatory art experience developed by artist & neuroscientist Karina Del Punta, Ph.D. More than just a passive exhibition, this event is a dynamic space where you become part of the art art—shaping and being shaped by the environment through your presence, choices, and interactions.

Whether you are looking to find a moment of peace, connect with your neighbors, or simply explore nature in a new way, this experience is designed for you. You engage directly with natural materials through interactive stations -- designed to restore your attention and connect you.

You will transition from the noise of the city into a state of grounded creativity:

  • Arrival:  A welcoming transition into the botanical garden, allowing your mind and body to settle into the natural space.

  • Immersion:  Move freely through a constellation of interactive stations. You might write a word on a leaf, compose and carry a new scent, add a tone to a shared acoustic field, or explore embodied movement and rhythm with special guest Ashli Katz.

  • Reflection:  A closing space to process the experience, witness the co-created artwork, and connect with fellow community members before returning to your day.

Across the garden, simple gestures accumulate. There is no single pathway or "right" way to participate. Meaning arises naturally through your interaction with sound, scent, language, water, movement, and the people around you.

Residents of all ages are invited to step out of the daily hustle and into a living, breathing labor of collective creativity.

Come as an observer; leave as a participant. Join us in shifting from seeing nature as a backdrop to experiencing it as an active system—one that heals, connects, and comes to life through our shared care.
