While visiting the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, here are some things you should know!

Rules & Regulations

• Smoking is not permitted on premise.

• Well mannered pets or documented service animals are allowed but must remain on a lead or leash.

• Bikes, skates, skate boards, or any other recreational micro-mobility devices are prohibited on premise.

• Children under the age of 12 are to be accompanied by a guardian at all times.

• All visitors must remain out of garden beds at all times nor cross into any areas marked “Private”.

• All plants should be treated as living specimens. We ask all visitors to not pick or take flowers, fruit, or any other plant materials.

Accessibility

• All pathways in the Garden are ADA compliant but some paths have slight elevation changes, terrain changes, or natural stone pavers that create changes in walking surfaces.

• The Garden has wheel chairs available to use at the visitor center. They can be checked out with a photo ID and credit card.

Photography

The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is happy to provide the setting for souvenir snapshots, portraits, photography and filming. Below is information on Fees and guidelines.

Professional Photo Shoot (1 to 6 Visitors / without large productions).

• Reservations are not required but highly encouraged to ensure the best possible photo outcome.

• The Garden is perfect for personal portraits, engagement shoots, wedding shoots, quinceañera sessions, couples portraits, or family portraits.

• Rates start at $150 per hour for a group of up to 6 people.

• The hourly fee does not include private dressing rooms nor exclusive use of the restrooms onsite as they will remain open to public use.

• Payment can be made at the visitor center the day of the shoot or you can book in advance here.

Commercial Photography and Filming (7 and beyond Visitors / with large productions).

• Reservations are required for groups this large.

• Pricing is based on a case-by-case basis.

• Possibility of permits needing to be pulled by The City of Miami Beach.

Major Film and Television Shoots

Dressing Room

• An air conditioned dressing room may be reserved for your shoot in advance, if available, for an additional fee.

The Miami Beach Botanical Garden offers tours of our with advance scheduling. We recommend two to three weeks notice for Guided Garden Tours and custom experiences.

Tour Options

• Guided Garden Tour – $10 per person (Max Group Capacity 40 visitors.)

Learn about the plants, habitats, and seasonal highlights of the Garden.

Field Trip Options

• Guided Gardens Tour + Garden Lead Activity - $10 per person. (Group Max Capacity of 40 individual visitors.)

• Self-Guided Exploration + Lunch On-Site – $250 flat fee (up to 50 people) + $5 per additional person.

  *Teachers and chaperones lead their groups with our onsite phone tour.

School will be directed to a space where students can collectively gather to eat their lunch. (Note: Lunch is not provided by The Garden. Water bottle refill stations are available onsite as well as light snacks for sale in our Botanical Boutique.)

Parking on can be tricky, here are some tips that will help you plan your visit.

• Metered parking is available along 19th Street in front of the Garden and in an adjacent lot between Meridian Avenue and Convention Center Drive. Standard Rates apply.

• Convention Center parking garages are located on 19th & 20th Streets at a lower hourly rate. City of Miami Beach Rates: $4 per hour street and surface parking lots, $2 per hour in the parking garages, and $1 per hour for registered Miami Beach Residents.

• 300 spots are also available on the rooftop (4th floor) of the Convention Center garage. 10 of these spots have signage indicating that they are for Garden visitors only - but Garden visitors may park in any Convention Center space and receive discounted parking. To access the rooftop spaces, enter the garage from the north end of Convention Center Drive, close to Dade Blvd. After you’ve parked just take the elevator to the first floor and follow the signage to get to the Garden. The cost for these spaces is $2 per hours (rather than the usual flat rate fee of $20).

• Parking Validation is required to receive discounted rates, this can be redeemed at the Garden within the Botanical Boutique.

The Miami Beach Botanical Garden closes on the following Holidays during the year.

• 4th of July

• Juneteenth

• Thanksgiving Day

• Christmas Day

*The Miami Beach Botanical Garden monitors weather events actively and can close the Garden when conditions can be deemed as unsafe for visitors and staff.
