Reflections on the Horizon by Frida Baranek

You are invited to the reception and artist talk: "Reflections on the Horizon by Frida Baranek." Meet the artist, followed by engagement with the exhibit. Inspired by the subtropical landscape of South Florida, Frida Baranek has made a work of art for the environment, blending and using the colors found in local fauna and flora. Engage with the art installation in the Garden and look through the glowing disks for a new view on the horizon. Light refreshements will be served. Free and open to the public.

Art Show - Nature into Art/Art into Nature

ART SHOW - A day of visual art exhibitions, performances, architecture and sound installations, live music, and more. Artists will work side by side with PAXy, collaborators, and the Botanical Garden to make you float in a magical world.While you’re there, lose yourself among 2.6 acres of subtropical plants from all over the world in a beautiful urban oasis.

Tillandsia Seminar and Pot-a-Gift Workshop

Learn all about Florida’s air plants and tour the Garden with palm and tillandsia expert Andrew Street to see many species on display. Workshop follows, so you make your  own succulent and air plant arrangement for the holidays.

Bonsai Seminar

Come to the Garden for this introductory seminar and demonstration presented by Jason Moorehead of Best Bonsai, Inc. A South Florida Bonsai artist who provides the highest level of quality bonsai trees,

Jason will explain which trees are suitable for bonsai, how to choose the right tree, and the correct pruning techniques to create a living art form.

This is a free Second Saturday Seminar. A unique selection of Bonsai trees will be for sale at this event.

Kids Inspired by Nature to Design

Each year the Garden opens it's gates for weekly, free Summer Art Camp, investing in the artistic and creative skills of our children by fostering interaction with the natural world.
With the guidance of local Designer, Winsome Bolt, young artists use a variety of natural materials taking inspiration from their tropical surroundings.

Sunday Garden Yoga

The Garden is the perfect place to connect with nature and tap into your infinite potential. Shake off the the stress of the work week and connect with your intention during our steamy Sunday Garden Yoga. Each class is $15. Donations benefit Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

About the instructor, Franci Blanco:
"In a world filled with constant stimuli, pulling us in several directions, Franci uses yoga to bring our awareness back to our bodies, which allows us to understand our core and move forward with more balance and clarity."
