Art Exhibition: "Secret Gardens" by Sheila Elias

Daily, Tuesday - Sunday from 9am - 5pm

“Secret Gardens” is a celebration of the joy of creativity and the splendor of nature, in spite of its many possible meanings; the collection opens up the subject spectrum to a repertoire of reflections and emotions intersecting the labyrinth of the human condition and the possibilities of each epoch. Brash bursts of flowers and busily textured passages of collage crowd the paintings and drawings in this series.  In other words, these works are my answer to immediate stimuli.

Japanese Spring Festival

The Japanese Spring Festival invites guests to experience Japanese culture firsthand through interactive and immersive encounters including thundering performances of Taiko drumming by Fushu Daiko, Ikebana floral design workshops, traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, hands-on origami lessons and a Japanese Marketplace. A family-friendly event, the Japanese Spring Festival also offers a children’s corner featuring storytelling and arts and crafts.

Art Exhibition: Wind by Diana Helman

Tuesday - Sunday, 9am-5pm

Raised in Rio de Janeiro, surrounded by colour and creative joy which heavily inspired her style. Diana creates pieces that represent both profound and unexceptional situations. There’s a movement, which brings us to another dimension. Using many layers of vibrant colors, there’s an emotional background of concrete moments that take up space and time.
The graphic stains and lines are symbols intended to unite the thoughts between the spiritual experience and how it is felt. Her encompassing and intimate canvas paintings lead to the inner world.

pO,etry in Pajamas | Pajama Party in the Garden

Staged in a giant bed at the enchanted Miami Beach Botanical Garden, families will take a break from their everyday worries to listen to children of all ages recite poetry (in their pajamas) led by brothers Sam and Simon. With our favorite band Afrobeta, snacks from Edible South Florida, and a Dreamcatcher installation under the banyan tree by fiber artist, Kandi Stirman this event promises to be a dream come true.  Everyone is encouraged to wear pajamas, bring a blanket and a poem.

Established in 1962, this treasure for the Miami Beach and South Florida community has served as a haven for communion with nature, meditation, concerts, children’s activities, corporate events and countless weddings.
