Coronavirus Response

Miami Beach Botanical Garden will be closed effective Thursday, March 19, 2020; and will remain closed as we monitor the Covid-19 emergency. The Garden staff will be maintaining our tropical oasis to ensure it is splendid when we reopen our gates.

All regularly scheduled Garden events and activities, including tours, yoga, meditation, and the Compost Hub are postponed until further notice.

We encourage you to welcome Spring by spending time in your garden.  Send us photos of what you are planting, pruning or propagating and will share them with other virtual gardeners!  Have a plant question?  We are here to field them!

Stay in touch with us on our Facebook page, sign up for the Botanical Buzz or email us at

We all are navigating uncharted waters and can only hope this storm passes swiftly.  Your support is the root of our organization, our Garden truly flourishes with people like you. We look forward to welcoming back soon.

Gratefully green,

Sandy Shapiro
Executive Director
