Inese will present a informative seminar on the unique qualities of honey bees of South Florida, and an introduction to beelkeeping. There will be a demo hive at the presentation. The seminar wll be followed by a honey sale from Bush Farms:  "Diverse nectar sources are responsible for the variety in taste and color of our delicious honey.

Join us at Miami Beach Botanical Garden for this educational seminar as we welcome UF/IFAS Extension Service Miami-Dade County- Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program for a presentation of pollinators. Second Saturday Horticulture Seminars at the Garden are free, and all are welcome. Please register, and stay in touch about upcoming programs at the Garden. Guided Garden Tour

Every Saturday 11am -11:45am. Discover the garden with a guided tour by our knowledgeable staff. There is a lot of horticulture and history packed into the Garden’s 2.6 acres. Come discover the stories behind the plants and landscape of the garden.If you are traveling with a large group or would like to schedule a tour, please call the Garden to arrange an appointment. There is a suggested $5 donation per head.

Nightshades: A Quick (and painless) Introduction. Explore the Solanaceae, or nightshade family, which includes edible, medicinal, and toxic species...and some that are all three. Plants will be available for sale, including several that are virtually unknown outside their native range.Michael Heckart is a lifelong resident of South Florida and owner of Wicked Mike's, a small business specializing in rare edible and medicinal plants. His collection includes plants from every continent but Antarctica, including over 1,500 varieties of peppers.

Sprouts Kids Day-Seed Food and Wine Festival 2016

SPROUTS KIDS DAY. A fun afternoon for the entire family: Kids take part in an interactive learning experiences, from planting their own container gardens at the hands-on gardening lab, making their very own lunch, trying their hand at yoga lead by Magda Lopez and hitting up the Bunnie Cake’s cupcake lab to decorate and munch on organic, vegan, gluten-free cupcakes. We didn’t forget moms and dads, this year we will have a lounge with mocktails and yummy bites just for you. (programming designed for children ages 3 to 10).
